An image from a snake bean plant, one of my favourite crops for summer in sub tropical. I have a row of 6 m of snake beans. They are prolific growers and in sub tropical, will fruit for at least 6 months, starting in oct and running through to about May. The fruit have a wonderful nutty flavour.

Beauty of a sunflower. I planted some on the ends of our veg garden beds within our green manure process which is nearly finished, ready for planting out with veg from mid this month. The sunflower plants here are close to 1.5m high, only taken 8 weeks to grow to this size. See the bees on the flowers.
